As children of the Lord, we need to be on constant guard. Being saved, you learn that a commitment to the Lord is every day, and in everything. It’s a constant choice to belong to Christ. We can be encouraged when the enemy attacks and trials happen. The thing that seems easy to do is to distant yourself from the One who loves you.
Proverbs 30:5 brings constant encouragement to me. “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” When we don’t take up the pure word of the Lord, everything opposite of truth can come in. Satan knows when, and how to attack us. Trials can be circumstances, situations, and sometimes a mistaken joy in our lives. I have learned, Satan has no new tactics. We all know the story of Adam and Eve, and the changing of Gods Word to deceive man. This is the same tactic that he uses now. We need to be on guard. I recently heard a message on Spiritual warfare which said it can look like; “fear, depression, obsession, lustfulness, unfounded angry, and strife.” It also can just be plan doubting of who Christ is in your own life.
We can’t rest on our own knowledge, morals, or even be crippled by our own fears and failures. We need to cling to Christ! Clinging to Christ means dwelling in His tabernacles. Are we doing this? Are we putting all our energy into Christ daily? Our walks with the Lord, are they the most important thing in our lives. I pray that I can fully start to grasp this, and it will take the rest of my life to continually learn this daily task of allowing the Lord to scoop us up like a little child to teach us, grow us, mold us, encourage us, and protect us. Without the Lords protection we have nothing to fight against the enemy.
In our minds, lies can be so loud that it’s the faintest whisper of Christ, and the purest of words to bring me back to truth. What is truth when we hear, see and feel the Spiritual warfare? It is His word. Proverbs 1:33 says, “Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure.” Also Psalms 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust..”
My encouragement today, is to be consumed, and strengthened by the Lord. I want to challenge us women to grab hold of the Lord daily. Dig into His Word, feed on His faithfulness, and reach out to Him. Be honest with Him in every single aspect of Your Life. Cherish Him as He cherishes you. Be prepared that when Spiritual warfare comes we can rejoice and be glad in Him. Let’s be challenged to cling to Christ. Grab hold of Him like you do for your morning coffee and your pillow at night. I leave you with Micah 6:8-“He has Shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Let’s walk so closely to the Lord that we cling to Him and know His voice.
